More than a post office

The Post Office in Italy is more than just a place where you send and pick up packages. It's also a bank and a place where you can pay all of your bills, like those for water, electricity, phone, gas, and even Satellite TV.

Today I went there for the first time to pay two of our bills. We walked in and took a number from the machine and waited for it to be called. I do love this system. I hate standing in lines for what feels like hours. It's much more civilized for us to sit down and wait for our number to be displayed on a light display a few feet above the counters.
